20V Motronic ECU System

1991 200TQ and 1992-95 S4/S6 with 20V turbo Engine:

Intake Manifold Pressure Sensor - Inside ECU

The ECU has a intake manifold pressure sensor (Pressure Transducer) mounted inside on the main circuit board.

See the photo below for location inside the ECU.



The manifold pressure sensor is an "absolute" pressure sensor which monitors "pressure" below (vacuum) and above (boost) normal atmospheric pressure.

NOTE: ECU diagnostics recognizes a fault if the output signal is too high or too low.

The ECU will record a fault code of 2222 [1]. [2] if there is Signal Failure: Charge Pressure control is switched off
